ACQ London - Certification Policy

At ACQ London, we recognise the importance of acknowledging student achievement. Certificates serve as official confirmation that a learner has successfully completed a programme of study and demonstrated the required level of knowledge and skills. This Certification Policy outlines the eligibility, issuing process, and conditions under which certificates are awarded.

1. Eligibility for Certification

To be eligible for a certificate, students must:

  • Successfully complete all required modules, assignments, examinations, or projects for their course.
  • Achieve the minimum pass mark or grade specified in the programme guidelines.
  • Meet attendance or participation requirements where applicable (for both online and blended learning).
  • Fulfil all financial obligations, including payment of tuition fees in accordance with our Payment Terms.

2. Types of Certificates

  • Certificate of Completion: Awarded to students who complete a non-accredited or short course, demonstrating participation and engagement.
  • Certificate of Achievement: Awarded to students who meet all assessment requirements and achieve the required academic standards.
  • Accredited / CPD Certificate: For programmes that are formally accredited or carry Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recognition. Certificates will include the relevant accreditation logo or endorsement.

3. Issuing of Certificates

  • Certificates are normally issued electronically (PDF format) within 14 working days of successful course completion.
  • Printed hard copies may be requested for an additional administrative fee.
  • Certificates will include the learner’s full name, course title, completion date, and ACQ London’s official seal.

4. Replacement and Duplicate Certificates

  • Students who misplace their certificate may request a duplicate by contacting the Student Support team in writing.
  • A small administrative fee may apply for re-issuing printed or electronic certificates.
  • Proof of identity will be required to prevent fraudulent requests.

5. Misuse and Revocation of Certificates

  • Certificates remain the property of ACQ London and are intended solely as evidence of achievement.
  • Any alteration, falsification, or unauthorised reproduction of a certificate is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
  • ACQ London reserves the right to revoke a certificate if it is discovered that it was obtained through academic misconduct, plagiarism, or fraudulent activity.

6. Verification of Certificates

  • Employers, academic institutions, or other third parties may verify the authenticity of a certificate by contacting ACQ London directly.
  • Verification requests must include the student’s name, course details, and year of completion.

7. Appeals

  • If a student believes they have been unfairly denied a certificate, they may submit a written appeal to the Academic Director within 10 working days of receiving their results.
  • Appeals will be reviewed independently, and outcomes will be communicated within 20 working days.
